Description
This is a part-time position, 28 hours per week.
- Process Accounts Payable - invoice receipt, data entry, electronic filing, discrepancy resolution, and verification of approval and account coding
- Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Work with external vendors to resolve any invoice problems or inaccuracies
- Ensure all accounts payable processes meet applicable compliance guidelines and corporate standards
- Reconcile credit card payments and code to proper accounts
- Process travel expense reports from Concur
- Assist with month-end close support
- Make and track appropriate sales and use tax payments on invoices as needed
- Assist with audit and other financial reporting requirements as needed
- Assist with yearly 1099 reporting requirements
- Crosstrain to be back-up for Accounts Receivable role
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of payables and accounting best practices
- Experience with financial transaction reporting
- Expertise working with Accounts Payable software
- Understanding of tax obligations and reporting requirements for payables
- Strong quantitative and analytical ability with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education - Experience:
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a corporate environment
- Bachelor's degree desired, High School diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements and Environment:
- This position is located on-site
- Frequent to constant sitting, occasional walking, and may require infrequent lifting up to 25 lbs.
