Description

Custodian - Layton, Utah (Second District Court)

The Custodian at the Second District Court building in Layton, Utah, is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the facility. This role involves completing daily cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor, both as part of a team and independently.

Strong and consistent communication with the supervisor is essential to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard. Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are key for success in this position.

Essential Tasks:

• Conduct regular inspections of the assigned area.
• Follow job duties that the supervisor assigns.
• Cross train in different areas.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Inform supervisor of broken equipment and fill stations that do not work properly.

Duties that you could be asked to complete in the building you are assigned to:

• Sweep Floors
• Mop floors
• Dust
• Clean restrooms
• Take out trash
• Vacuum
• Disinfect touch points and surfaces
• Clean glass doors and windows
• Clean and polish drinking fountains
• Clean kitchens/break rooms
• Sweep, mop stairwells
• Wipe down handrails in stairwells
• Clean and polish elevators
• Keep custodial closet clean and organized
