BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Financial and Operations Systems (OFOS), Office of Pay and Retirement Services (OPRS), Supplemental Unit. The incumbent is responsible for performing duties associated with the receipt, audit, and processing of any of the varied payrolls for all District government employees inclusive of agencies within and outside the personnel and administrative jurisdiction of the Chief Financial Officer and the Mayor. Duties include, but are not limited to: providing tier 2 production support to payroll stakeholders throughout the district; inspecting automated system outputs such as pay registers and standard reports for accuracy; determining and correcting out of balance conditions within the payroll process; and researching and preparing special reports/artifacts for stakeholders. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of progressive experience processing payroll utilizing an automated payroll software system, auditing and researching payroll matters, troubleshooting payroll system issues, and providing system support to end users.

Specialized Experience

Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.

SALARY REDUCTION OF REEMPLOYED ANNUITANTS:

An individual selected for employment in the District Government on or after January 1, 1980, who is receiving an annuity under any District government civilian retirement system, shall have his or her pay reduced by the amount of annuity allocable to the period of employment as a reemployed annuitant.
