Job Title: Payroll Support Specialist
Location: Lakewood, CO 80215. 3 days per week onsite.

Job Summary:
Performs a wide variety of entry-level payroll functions and special projects in support of all business areas. Exercises discretion in handling routine and many non-routine payroll matters. Provides customer service to employees, including management, regarding payroll questions and issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare company payroll by entering hours worked, overtime, shift differentials, vacation and sick time, employment status changes, and related data into payroll systems
- Maintain records for sick leave and paid time off (PTO); authorize payments for time charged to these accounts
- Review payroll and personnel transactions for accuracy; correct errors as identified or reported by employees
- Create and run payroll reports upon request for various internal departments
- Assist with maintaining the time and attendance system, including employee time clocks
- Support Payroll Supervisor with vendor-related system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and process changes
- Perform general payroll administration including new hires, terminations, employee status changes, tax updates, direct deposit setup, and filing
- Distribute payroll checks and generate manual checks as needed
- Fund wire requests for payroll and payroll-related taxes; communicate cash flow details to Finance and Treasury as needed
- Participate in special payroll projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll-related experience
- Prior experience with ADP ProBusiness and/or Cignify required
- Experience with payroll and/or time and attendance systems preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels, vendors, regulatory agencies, and external partners
- Strong judgment, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to interpret, apply, and enforce payroll policies, procedures, and methods
- Ability to apply standard procedures and learned knowledge to resolve payroll issues within established guidelines
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with PC applications and payroll-related software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
