PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT LEAD
IMPACT ON BUSINESS:
The People Development Lead plays a key part in advancing people development efforts at Bealls Inc. by supporting alignment to business priorities and reinforcing consistency across training and development initiatives. In close partnership with People Development leadership, this position helps translate development strategy into action by supporting execution and elevating the learner experience. This work spans content development, Learning Management System (LMS) support, and coordination across development efforts, helping to keep people development initiatives organized, connected, and moving forward.
This position will make a measurable difference by strengthening development efforts across the company. That impact is reflected in the following ways:
- People development initiatives are supported through clear structure, strong coordination, and consistent follow-through, with a focus on improving how work gets done most productively.
- Learning experiences are intentionally designed and aligned to organizational priorities, through thoughtful approaches to strengthen engagement and effectiveness.
- Leaders and facilitators are equipped with prepared materials, tools, and support that enable focused, effective delivery.
- Learning content, programs, and tools are maintained with discipline, supporting consistency, scalability, and ongoing refinement.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [Essential Functions]:
Driving Training & Development Initiatives
- Support people development initiatives by proactively coordinating timelines, materials, and readiness to help efforts move forward with clarity and continuity.
- Sustain momentum across multiple development efforts by thoughtfully balancing priorities, adapting plans as needs evolve, and addressing issues that may arise.
Learning Content Development & Enablement
- Create, evolve, and maintain people development materials, including guides, tools, job aides, and digital resources, that reinforce consistency and quality across development efforts.
- Ensure learning materials remain current and relevant by aligning content to evolving processes, systems, and technology advancements.
Learning Systems & Technology Support
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and learning technologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and speed across content development and learning support efforts.
- Support the ongoing effectiveness of the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, learner assignments, reporting, and data accuracy.
Program Coordination & Delivery Support
- Coordinate people development programs from planning through delivery, supporting facilitators and subject matter experts with materials, communication, and preparation to ensure a consistent experience.
- Support live and virtual learning sessions, including setup, technology coordination, and participant experience.
Continuous Improvement & Learning Curiosity
- Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, and standardize people development processes and tools.
- Use feedback, observations, and data to continuously improve learning support and learner experience.
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Comfortable using AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot and similar technologies) and Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools.
- Background or education in training and development preferred.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to create engaging learning materials across multiple formats and support learning management systems, including data management and reporting.
- Demonstrated curiosity and adaptability, with commitment to learning and continuously improving approaches, tools, and processes.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and details effectively.
- Proven follow through, with the ability to keep work moving and bring tasks to completion.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity, consistency, and responsiveness.
