Description
SUMMARY
Santo Nino Health Center is highly seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Phone Operator / Appointment Scheduler to join our team. In this full-time role, you will handle a high volume of inbound calls, assist patients with scheduling, and provide excellent customer service. You'll play a key role in creating a positive patient experience and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Monday through Friday with the hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM with a one-hour lunch
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments
- Assist patients with questions about services and appointment availability
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance and contact details
- Route calls and messages to appropriate staff or departments
- Document all interactions accurately in the system
- Handle patient concerns with empathy and escalate when needed
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Call center, receptionist, or scheduling experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and data entry skills (EHR/EMR experience a plus)
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and patient-focused
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly desired
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required
