Cleaning Manager

This position works with supervisors, service associates, and key customers to ensure continued satisfaction of services. The Cleaning Manager leads a team of professionals and ensures tasks are completed, instructions are understood and upholds the standards of cleanliness.

Success criteria include delivery on contract promises, increased effectiveness and/or efficiency of delivered services through deployment of ISS standards and concepts leveraging innovation and best practice opportunities; successful delivery of prioritized projects and programs; in partnership with internal and external stakeholders understand upcoming priorities and linking project delivery to the needs of the business; deployment of relevant projects following the global/local standards while having complete ownership of project roll out and completion; develop own skill base in line with agreed appraisal, taking responsibility for increased performance, and ensuring continued self-improvement; participate and embrace the development opportunities; promote the IFS model within the ISS community; transfer best practice; use the account to promote and further develop ISS.

Key areas of collaboration and influence include communicating effectively with colleagues within the business unit and across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required; account organization; risk management and compliance; customer organization; local excellence functions; external partners and suppliers; account dedicated people & culture, HSE, and finance.

Ideal candidate experience includes 5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience with strong emphasis on customer service; knowledge of custodial/commercial cleaning; experience in janitorial industry preferred; demonstrates strong skills in: communication, decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving; demonstrates professional and political aptitude; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; strong computer proficiency skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Key accountabilities include enforcing company and customer goals, policies, and procedures; managing daily operations in cleaning to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided; identifying places to improve performance, policies, and programs; promoting responsibility for safe and controlled work environments; ensuring that all customer complaints are handled professionally, appropriately, and in a timely manner; developing own skill base in line with agreed appraisal, taking responsibility for increased performance, and ensuring continued self-improvement; supporting the team, and report to the facility manager, additional support to center of excellence; communicating effectively with colleagues within the business unit and across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required; developing and managing employee population; trainings and managing employees and vendors to ensure all client rules, guidelines, regulations, and expectations are adhered to; developing and maintaining strategic customer relationships; serving as liaison between clients and company departments/divisions; conducting service review meetings with clients concerning ISS performance, vendor performance and process improvements; surveying buildings for staffing purposes and cost evaluations; maintaining labor and account budgets; examining work completion in accordance with contract deliverables; monitoring quality control throughout assigned facilities.

Physical demands & work environment include long working hours; sitting at a computer for 50% of the time; walking/inspecting the site 50% of the time; must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds; must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods; frequently lift up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

ISS offers full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
