Raytheon's Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) Department in Huntsville, AL is a multi-discipline organization responsible for designing, building and integrating state of the art testing environments (flight simulators for missiles), as the last step before flight test. On our team, you will work with weapon system designers to understand requirements, design solutions, integrate, and deploy the systems to help support tactical software development, testing, and delivery for missiles to the warfighter.
This position is within the Effectors Center of the HWIL organization, and is an onsite role located in Huntsville, AL.
What You Will Do
- You will be a member of multidiscipline engineering teams performing design, development, and integration of missile flight simulation systems.
- Typical work involves the development of both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis.
- You will contribute to the completion of all stages of product development (CCA through systems level), and will be responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of their assigned projects.
- You will be expected to act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Electrical engineering design experience to include electronic design, troubleshooting, analysis, and test environments from the circuit card level up to a full system.
- Experience with electrical engineering design and analysis tools such as: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic and/or Xilinx Vivado
- Experience with test equipment, such as: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers and/or Power Meters
- Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics
Qualifications We Prefer
- Bid and proposal experience
- A working knowledge of computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques
- Ability to utilize existing designs as a starting point to interface with new units under test (UUTs) and UUT configurations when necessary
- Experience with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Practical knowledge of project management
- Experience with Architecture design
- Leading large multi-disciplinary teams to include tasking responsibility
- Budget responsibility

- Relocation Offered Based On Eligibility
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
