Job Type: PRN Days (7am -7pm)

The Patient Access Specialist serves as the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from appointment scheduling to insurance verification. This is a crucial role in ensuring patients have the information and support they need to access care seamlessly.

What you'll be doing:

  • Greet and assist patients both in-person and over the phone, registration, and inquiries.
  • Verify patient insurance and demographic information accurately.
  • Provide strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening.
  • Managing patient flow.
  • Collect necessary paperwork and coordinate with various departments for patient care.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve patient questions or issues.

What we're looking for:

  • 1-2 years of Medical Insurance verification experience required.
  • 2-3 years of Customer Service experience in the medical field required.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required within sixty (60) days from start date.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with MS Office, EMR/EPM systems.
  • MUST be flexible with schedule; including day, evening, weekend hours, and holidays per facility needs.
