Job Title: Process Engineer - Business Process Reengineering (BPR/BPI)

Location: Remote (Preference for San Antonio )
Duration: Contract
Work Environment: Remote with optional onsite collaboration

Overview

We are seeking a Process Engineer with strong experience in business process reengineering, process mapping, and operational efficiency improvement. This role partners closely with operations teams to analyze current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement scalable solutions that drive productivity, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end process mapping (current and future state) using tools such as ARIS
  • Conduct time-motion studies to evaluate utilization, throughput, and efficiency opportunities
  • Identify non-value-added activities (NVA), redundancies, and process gaps
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma assessments and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics to track operational success
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis for process improvement recommendations
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to drive process design and innovation
  • Partner with project/program managers to optimize resource utilization and delivery efficiency
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on BPR/BPI methodologies
  • Create and maintain process documentation and reporting artifacts

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in process engineering, business process reengineering, or process improvement
  • Strong expertise in process mapping, workflow analysis, and optimization
  • Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency with ARIS, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience analyzing operational metrics, KPIs, and performance data
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services, insurance, or regulated environments
  • Exposure to FP&A or finance-related process mapping
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and process design sessions
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt)
