Experience Required

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience (preferably with a cellular company from a technician standpoint)
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience, or 8-10 years of system troubleshooting experience
  • Master's Degree accepted with 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Internships do not count as job experience

Team Description

The team is a group of about 15-20 people who work together to support Caterpillar's technology products for customers all over the world. They help solve technical problems, share knowledge, and make sure new products work smoothly. The team is global, with members in the United States, Australia, India, and Brazil, and they often collaborate to fix issues and improve products. Most of the time, they work in an office, but sometimes they travel to job sites to help customers directly.

Role Description

This role is all about helping customers and dealers solve problems with Caterpillar's mining technology products. The person in this job investigates and fixes technical issues, communicates with customers and other teams, and helps introduce new products. They'll work both independently and with the team, sometimes traveling to mines or job sites. The job involves troubleshooting, supporting new product launches, and making sure customers get the help they need quickly and effectively.

Must-Haves

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience (cellular company technician experience preferred)
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent troubleshooting experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Ability to form strong relationships within partner organizations

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with construction equipment technology solutions
  • Experience with jobsite networking infrastructure
  • Experience with automotive or mobile equipment telematics
  • Azure DevOps experience
