Job Summary:

Using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures
  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements to meet Quality Standards
  • Proficient use of equipment required by the job function
  • Adhere to safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor
  • Assemble equipment for final operation
  • Perform troubleshooting as required
  • Explores methods of improving efficiency, speed, and quality of work being done
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
    • Experience in lieu of High School Diploma or GED include 2 years of related experience required, mechanical experience preferred, blue print and schematic reading preferred.
  • Previous production assembly experience is preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math (add subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers in addition to understanding fractions and decimals)
  • Possess basic language skills (can read/and understand written instructions)
  • Ability to identify and use a variety of assembly tools and methods
  • Possess basic/general knowledge in reading/understanding schematics
  • Understand equipment performance requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Unimpaired speech, hearing and sight (continuous)
  • Postural changes such as sitting, reaching, climbing, standing, walking and lifting (intermittent)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to chest high shelving
