Materials/Inventory Specialist
San Antonio, TX
Contract Position
$27.22/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Route materials to designated storage locations per established storage procedures
- Perform inventory audits and report material damage or deterioration
- Issue, pull, and prepare materials for production and shipment
- Maintain compliance with safety, FOD (Foreign Object Debris), tool control, and inventory control standards
- Review production schedules to ensure material availability aligns with demand
- Analyze material requirements and resolve inventory, scheduling, and configuration issues
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address material shortages and discrepancies
- Order parts, tools, and equipment as needed to support operations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
- Support continuous improvement through process and inventory analysis
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support program and operational needs
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 4+ years of warehouse inventory management, parts accountability, and materials handling
- Tools/Skills:
- Proficient with computer systems (inventory software, data entry, etc.)
- Forklift license or ability to obtain
- Certifications/Training:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required safety and hazardous material certifications
- Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 35 lbs unassisted; occasional 2-person lifts over 50 lbs
- Frequent walking, standing, overhead reaching, climbing ladders (up to 12 ft), balancing, and crawling
- Ability to work on elevated platforms and in noisy environments
- Comfortable using required PPE (face, eye, ear, hand, and arm protection)
- Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests
- Capable of working all shifts in various physical and environmental conditions
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
