Production Planner

Production Planner position available in the Eaton Rapids, Michigan area working at our client location who is a leading manufacturer. This is a direct hire opportunity with a salary range of $65k to $75k. Day shift position starting at 7am or 8am. Reporting to the Master Scheduler, the Production Planner develops and manages production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure on-time, cost-effective order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

-Develop and maintain production plans for assigned areas -Analyze demand vs. capacity; identify risks and constraints -Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Tooling, and Purchasing to ensure resource availability -Monitor performance and adjust schedules to meet deadlines -Communicate schedule updates, risks, and changes to stakeholders -Track key metrics (output, downtime, inventory, schedule accuracy) and drive improvements -Support supply chain coordination, issue resolution, and corrective actions -Contribute to reporting and continuous improvement initiatives -Support special projects and other assigned tasks -Utilize ERP/MRP systems (Plex preferred) for scheduling and planning

Qualifications & Skills

-Experience with Plex ERP is required -Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills -Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities -Effective communication and teamwork skills -Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and lean principles -Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities -Ability to pass pre-employment screenings

Education & Experience

-Associate's degree (or equivalent experience) required; Bachelor's preferred -Minimum 2 years of production planning or related experience -Experience with ERP/MRP systems and scheduling tools required -Knowledge of MRP best practices required

Work Environment

-Primarily office-based with some production floor exposure -May require extended hours as needed -Occasional exposure to industrial conditions (noise, temperature variations)
