** JOB OVERVIEW:**

Under the general guidance of the Director of Housekeeping, ** Public Area Attendant** assists in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Public Areas, maintaining cleanliness and appearance in accordance with hotel standards. Provide high-quality, personalized service to all guests to enhance their overall experience.

** YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

  • Ensure all public restrooms and toilets are clean, fresh-smelling, and fully stocked at all times.
  • Conduct restroom inspections at least once every thirty minutes throughout the shift to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Collect, fold neatly, and stock restroom towels from the laundry.
  • Return dirty towels and soiled linens promptly to the laundry for cleaning
  • Dust, clean, and wipe walls, doors, and tabletops in the lobby and public areas as needed throughout the shift.
  • Empty and clean trash bins in all public areas regularly.
  • Stay informed about all hotel events and functions to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operability of all telephones in public areas.
  • Monitor and maintain furniture and equipment in public spaces; report any defects immediately to the Housekeeping office.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests efficiently; address complaints promptly and follow up thoroughly.
  • Follow strict key signing procedures and take responsibility for assigned keys.
  • Manage lost property according to established lost and found procedures.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are clean, functional, and report any defects immediately.
  • Participate in projects, special assignments, and training sessions as directed by the Housekeeping management team.
  • Attend meetings and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake reasonable requests and special projects assigned by management.
  • We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
  • We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
