Job Title: Automation Tester (Playwright & AI-Assisted Testing)

Job Location: Hybrid / Onsite – Washington, DC

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to support regression and integration testing for enterprise applications using a Playwright-based automation framework. This role will leverage AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and maintain high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will ensure that application enhancements are thoroughly tested, reliable, and aligned with performance expectations.

Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance Playwright-based automation test suites for enterprise applications such as iPortal.
  • Develop new automation scripts to support evolving business requirements and system integrations.
  • Execute regression and integration testing to validate application changes and ensure system stability.
  • Integrate and optimize automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
  • Leverage AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate test development and improve code consistency.
  • Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable recommendations for quality improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to testing standards, frameworks, and best practices across the testing lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in functional and automation testing.
  • Strong proficiency in Playwright for web application testing using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Solid understanding of modern automation testing frameworks, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience with enterprise applications (e.g., iPortal or similar platforms) is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience implementing test automation strategies for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and API testing tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint-based delivery models.
  • Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and DevOps practices.
