Overview

A growing manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Inspector to support production by ensuring all materials and finished products meet established quality standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance, identifying issues, and helping drive continuous improvement on the production floor.

Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods. This position ensures adherence to customer specifications, internal procedures, and quality requirements while documenting findings and communicating any discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed inspections on incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished products
  • Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications
  • Conduct audits of production processes and verify standard procedures are followed
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials or products and assist with corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
  • Work closely with production and leadership teams to resolve quality concerns
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies

Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and measurement techniques
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation

Education & Experience:

  • Experience in metal fabrication, stamping, or welding environments is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hands for inspection and measurement tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs as needed

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing setting with moderate noise levels
  • Required use of PPE, including steel-toe boots and eye protection
