Description
We are currently looking for a QA Technician - Day & Night to join our team!
As a Quality Assurance Technician you are responsible for assuring that safe and quality foods are produced by performing all quality control tests and tasks in accordance with the Nature’s Path Quality Assurance Standards.
Day Shift Hours: 5:50AM-6:00PPM on a Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule
Night Shift Hours: 5:50PM-6:00AM on a Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule
Pay rate: $22.57 (for Night Shift there is a $1.50 shift premium for hours worked after 6PM)
A Taste of the Job:
- Responsible for recording test results, taking appropriate actions when production and/or quality issues arise, and maintaining an accurate log of daily activities
- Checking batch sheets to ensure that the correct formulation and material is used for the company production requirements
- Conducting bar line, processing and packaging CPC checks, as well as sanitation checks
- Reporting all variances in accordance with the Problem Resolution Protocol
- Holding all raw materials and finished products that fail to meet the established standards and finalize disposition on held items
- Ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are carried out by all employees
- Ensuring all parameters are recorded with documentation during R&D runs
- Maintaining a safe work environment for the team, and taking necessary and proper action when a problem or safety concern arises with equipment, product, materials or personnel
- Performing all quality control tests in accordance with the established standards and systems to ensure that the finished products fall within the company requirements
- Maintaining accurate records and files of all quality control tests and tasks
- Work with other departments and management with quality issues, and be knowledgeable on Nature’s Path products, texture, taste, color and ingredients
Path for Success:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months experience in a quality control in a food processing environment is preferred
- Working knowledge of food safety and QA programs, such as HCCP, GMPs, and SPC
- A team approach to problem solving and implementation, as well as personal initiative and independent judgment are necessary
- Basic math skills required and proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in English language, and understand directions, both verbally and written
