Position Summary: Sets up and operates measuring and test equipment to perform quality assurance in-process, final tests, and inspections on customer parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining the Document Control Center, Data and Records of the Quality System.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and/or work instructions.
  • Perform quality assurance pre-inspection, in-process checks, and final inspections per department SOP.
  • Reading/understanding blueprints/drawings for machine part specifications.
  • Performs tests and measurements, the accuracy required for appropriate inspection and measuring of machine parts.
  • Report and document internal and external non-conformances.
  • Document QA test/inspection findings; file in accordance to department procedures and supply to customers as requested.
  • Reject any non-conforming product from being allowed for use or shipped to a customer.
  • Support, documentation and follow up on Internal Audits, QMS/QIS, and Corrective Actions raised from Internal Audits.
  • Generate and update control charts as well as Quality QOS.
  • Participate in the Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Keep clean and organized conditions, the workstation and/or area.
  • Availability to develop any new activity or project assigned.
  • Continuously work on improving operations communication with Supplier and Customer.
  • Ensure customer responses are made within customer service objectives.
  • Responsible for several reports and monitor compliance.
  • Support other areas as required.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to handle basic statistical control methods. Current or previous experience with Quality Management System.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations: None

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Computer Skills: Must possess excellent computer skills, not limited to MS Office, Windows, or Excel.
  • Language Skills: English (reading, writing, verbal)
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic to intermediate level.
  • Other: Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance. Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment. Current or previous experience with Quality Management system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
  • Capability in use of basic hand tools and machinist measurement instruments.
  • Capability in reading blueprint/mechanical drawings

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
