Quartz Distribution - Material Handler (Nights)

As a material handler we need someone that is experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials.
Schedule: Nights 7:00pm - 7:00am on the 2-2-3
Primary Objective:
- Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.
- Major Function and Scope:
- Operates forklift and/or crane equipment
- Keys orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy
- Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping area
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor
- Follows standard operating procedures
- Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlines in the Safety Accountability Policy and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to management
- Keeps area safe, clean and organized
- Operates wireless devices (tablet, scanners) and automated equipment
- Conducts daily cycle counts
- Performs receiving duties such as receive and unload inbound material
- Performs other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator
- 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
- Must have a minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience. No experience required for pallet jack.

- Accurate measurement capability.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
- Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
- The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance.
- The associate may lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- The average number of picks per hour is 25 and the average weight is between 40-70 lbs with heavier picks (50-70 lbs) being 65% of the work shift and lighter weight items (20-40 lbs) being 35% of the work shift.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
- The noise level is usually loud.
