The Plant Sanitation Custodian will be responsible and accountable for supporting daily plant operations by ensuring continual cleanliness and housekeeping of the plant facility, offices, and grounds throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Requisition / replenish appropriate custodial supplies as directed.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum the lobby, office, and break room.
- Continually inspect for and dispose of all debris; maintain entryways and walkways.
- Clean interior surface areas.
- Clean, disinfect, and restock washrooms
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent, regulatory, customer, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Minimum age: 18
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.

Physical Demand/Working Conditions:
- Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.
- Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals.
- Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach above and below the shoulder.
- Repetition-Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6:00am - 2:30pm
Compensation: $18.64 per hour
