Job Description: Seasonal Delivery Worker (District HQ Garage), PN 20055352 Located at 2088 South Arlington Road, Akron, OH 44306 This is a temporary, unclassified appointment not to exceed 1,000 hours; Hours may vary based on operational need.

What You Will Do:

  • Deliver items to all locations within District 4 (Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit & Trumbull Counties) and/or Columbus.
  • Loads and unloads materials for district and statewide routes.
  • Works in the stockroom to sort, stock, and distribute parts and supplies.
  • Verifies incoming items and assists staff in obtaining correct parts.
  • Maintains basic inventory and delivery records.
  • Keeps assigned vehicles clean and in good working condition.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Formal education in arithmetic to include addition, subtraction, multiplication & division & in reading, writing & speaking English; valid driver's license.
  • In accordance with Section 124.11(B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
