Description
Boise Cascade has been in the business of manufacturing wood products and distributing building materials for over half a century. Today we're one of the largest manufacturers of plywood and engineered wood products in North America - and the only wholesale stocking distributor for building products that can service the entire United States. This is a seasonal/temporary position to provide vacation relief. Seasonal hires will work as many weeks as their school schedule will allow.
Job Description:
- General cleanup
- Removal of wood waste and debris
- Pulling and sorting graded lumber from moving conveyor
- Relieving operators as needed
- Ability to use a variety of tools such as: shovel, air hose, broom, rake, and wheel barrel
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be available to work any shift: Days, Swing, Graveyard, Relief
- Must be able to continuously stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, stoop, twist, climb, and reach above shoulders safely
- Occasionally lift over 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to successfully pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in production environment
- Consistent work history
Schedule:
Seasonal employees could be assigned to any shift below:
- Sawmill production is Mon-Fri days or swing
- Planer production four 10's on days (Mon-Thurs)
- Swing (Tues – Fri)
- Rotate Fri & Sat day shift & Sun & Mon swing shift
- Cleanup/Security will include graveyard and weekends
