Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant, Audit will lead audit, review, and compilation engagements for privately held businesses, mentoring junior staff and ensuring GAAP-compliant financial reporting. This role offers significant responsibility, client engagement, and a clear path to leadership in a dynamic, supportive firm.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform audit, review, and compilation engagements for privately held companies.
• Supervise and mentor staff accountants, reviewing work and providing on-the-job training.
• Perform agreed-upon procedures and support special projects like due diligence and acquisitions.
• Analyze internal controls and assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Build client relationships through effective communication and service.
• Travel to client sites as needed for fieldwork.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA license.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting audit experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and assurance standards.
• Long-term care/skilled nursing audit experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and technical skills.
• New Jersey residency required.
