Senior accountant

Randstad is excited to partner with a premier and rapidly expanding importer and distributor of luxury outdoor construction materials. We are seeking a motivated, Senior Accountant to join their Miami-based team. This is a high-visibility, exempt role reporting directly to the CFO, perfect for a professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. This is a direct hire opportunity paying a base salary between $75k - $85k + bonus and insurance stipend. Candidates must be able to communcate professionally in both English and Spanish and have the ability to commute to the Miami office daily.

Responsibilities

• Accounting cycle: Financial flows for AP, AR, and Payroll while providing expert oversight of inventory valuation, costing, and fixed asset depreciation.
• Close: Handle the month-end and year-end close cycles, ensuring all financial statements are prepared for review.
• Reconciliations: Manage reconciliations for cash, intercompany accounts, and customer deposits, resolving any variances
• Tax: Act as the primary liaison for lenders and tax preparers, managing the preparation of 1099s, corporate property tax, and sales tax filings across FL, NJ, and CA.
• Team supervision: Directly supervise the AP/AR Specialist and collaborate with the Purchasing and Operations departments to resolve root-cause accounting issues.
