Your Role:

Our successful Senior Accountant promotes outstanding relations with all guests and fellow Team Members by providing service in a friendly, swift, and responsible manner. They thrive in a team base environment where everyone consistently uplifts and supports each other through detail oriented work and regularly doing what it takes to ensure all necessary work completed.

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of three (3) years progressive Accounting experience is required.
  • Experience supervising and staff development is preferred.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2003 or greater is required.
  • Experience with accounting and purchasing software (Great Plains and Stratton Warren) a plus.
  • Assist with fiscal month end closing including financial statement preparation, general ledger reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process.
  • Assist with all aspects of various audit engagements including but not limited to: Financial, Workers Compensation, Insurance, and New York State Gaming Commission.
  • Oversee timely reconciliation of corporate bank accounts.
  • Oversee and maintain Fixed Asset and Capital Expenditure and Prepaid schedules.
  • Review and prepare AP and AR transactions.
  • Assist with monthly physical inventory and cost of goods sold calculation.
  • Maintain integrity of internal controls and proper accounting practices.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Enforce all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Promote outstanding customer relations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
