Description

Hawk is currently looking to hire multiple field-based Senior Project Expeditors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform active field expediting (not desk expediting)
  • Carry out all expediting activities for procured material and equipment
  • Organize Kick Off Meeting (KOM), coordinate with assigned Inspectors.
  • Manage issues and challenges relating to material and equipment
  • Develop solutions and coordinate with vendors to solve the problems
  • Ensure vendors Bill of Materials are submitted on time
  • Issue critical item reports on a per visit basis to summarize activities and status of orders
  • Follow up with Company and vendors' engineering diligently to resolve issues
  • Alert to management if there's any labor issues in plants
  • Check drawings, engineering documents and other non-material requirements that are necessary for the project to proceed with detailed engineering
  • Initiate milestone completion certificate for progress and final payments
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all members in company and interfacing organizations
  • Ensure that vendor's schedule includes time for disassembly, cleaning and preparation for shipment
  • Participate in the overall vendor performance evaluation
  • Able to handle multi-task and cover multiple suppliers within a given region.
  • Evaluates production schedules and progress reports from suppliers to determine if their programs and work progress meet job site requirements
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
  • Prepares supplier evaluation reports for input into the Suppliers Information System.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering preferred. Comparable degrees will be considered.
  • MUST have prior experience working in EPC O&G industrial space.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently to assigned suppliers within the region. xywuqvp
  • Minimum 6 years overall experience in oil & gas industry holding similar role.
  • Familiar with project equipment/material for major components/ usage
  • Capability in identifying fabrication bottle necks and programs analysis to provide input and recommendation for better performance, knowledge and experience in overall materials procurement aspects, fabrication programs interpretation and analysis, progress verification and reporting, awareness to some familiarity with other fabrication aspects such as vendor's quality surveillance and shipping major related procedures and methods for projects in oil & gas chemical industries with multi interfaces with engineering and other involved disciplines
  • Must be an excellent face to face and telephone communicator
  • Work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize independently
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build and supervision of established procedures
  • Ability to achieve the target within given time
  • Decisive, perceptiveness, dependability in carrying out the area assignments, responsive, flexible, analytical and organized with systematic work approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
