Settlement & Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Settlement & Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the settlement and post-closing accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who has managed settlement operations within a title company environment and is comfortable owning the full lifecycle of escrows, remittances, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the settlement and post-closing accounting function
  • Oversee post-closing escrows, disbursements, remittances, and reconciliations
  • Prepare, review, and approve settlement statements
  • Ensure compliance with title, escrow, and accounting regulations
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex transactions or discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal teams, lenders, attorneys, and clients
  • Improve processes, controls, and efficiencies within the settlement department

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of title company experience in settlement, escrow, and accounting
  • Proven experience leading or managing settlement operations
  • Strong understanding of post-closing escrows and remittance processes
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
