Settlement & Accounting Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Settlement & Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the settlement and post-closing accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who has managed settlement operations within a title company environment and is comfortable owning the full lifecycle of escrows, remittances, and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the settlement and post-closing accounting function
- Oversee post-closing escrows, disbursements, remittances, and reconciliations
- Prepare, review, and approve settlement statements
- Ensure compliance with title, escrow, and accounting regulations
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex transactions or discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal teams, lenders, attorneys, and clients
- Improve processes, controls, and efficiencies within the settlement department
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of title company experience in settlement, escrow, and accounting
- Proven experience leading or managing settlement operations
- Strong understanding of post-closing escrows and remittance processes
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
