Shipping & Receiving - Spotter Duties

We are currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving - Spotter Duties role to work at our Nashville, TN location.

Schedule:

  1. Full-time, 1st shift
  2. MondayFriday, 6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m.
  3. Additional hours may be required

What You'll Do:

  • Review shipping and receiving paperwork for accuracy and follow special instructions.
  • Inspect shipping containers, labels, paperwork, and product counts during loading and unloading.
  • Pull product samples and submit them to the lab for quality checks.
  • Label and secure containers in line with closure and shipping specifications.
  • Operate forklifts and assist with trailer movement between dock doors.
  • Inspect trailers for safety and maintenance concerns before and after yard movements.
  • Ensure proper placarding on trailers carrying hazardous materials.
  • Communicate with logistics providers as needed for scheduling or updates.
  • Stage, load, and unload pails, drums, and totes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area by following company and regulatory safety standards.
  • Wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.
  • Cross-train in other areas, including inventory, chemical packaging, and general warehouse functions.

What You Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior forklift experience with a valid Forklift Certification.
  • Previous Spotter experience preferred.
  • A strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and delivery personnel.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Regularly required to enter commercial vehicles, climb trailers and tankers (with safety gear).
  • Requires good vision (close, distance, color, depth perception) and sense of smell.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance while performing job duties.
