Solutions Support Assistant

The solutions support assistant is responsible for supporting daily operational functions, including packing, shipping, receiving, inventory management, staging, procurement, and logistics coordination. This role ensures the timely and accurate movement of equipment, supports the service department with rapid equipment turnaround, and assists the systems engineer, allowing technical staff to focus on configuration, troubleshooting, and field deployment. The solutions support assistant will have hands-on experience assembling, wiring, and testing AV equipment racks and integrated systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. This role requires the ability to interpret and follow technical diagrams, schematics, rack elevations, and signal flow documentation to ensure systems are built to specification and ready for deployment. The solutions support assistant will take pride in delivering clean, organized, and fully tested systems that meet performance standards and reflect a disciplined, quality-focused approach to integration.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  1. Manage daily shipping and receiving of all inbound and outbound equipment.
  2. Pack, prepare, and stage equipment, materials, and AV racks for deployment.
  3. Receive, configure, and ship replacement units, loaners, and repaired equipment.
  4. Support inventory functions, including cycle counts, serialized equipment tracking, restocking, documentation, and procurement
  5. Assist with the physical handling of heavy equipment (racks, UPS units, displays, crates) using safe lifting practices.
  6. Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse, staging, and operations areas.
  7. Provide on-site operational support when technical staff are traveling or deployed in the field.
  8. Support non-technical rack build tasks, including labeling, cable prep, and component organization.
  9. Coordinate with project teams to ensure the timely turnaround of materials and equipment for field crews.
  10. Help reduce operational bottlenecks by improving workflow speed, accuracy, and documentation.
  11. Equipment mounting, cable routing and termination, wire management, labeling, and point-to-point verification, loading and configuring software, firmware, and network settings across AV components.

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities at this time.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a warehouse, workshop, and staging environment with regular movement of equipment. Some work may occur in office or jobsite environments when supporting field deployment needs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Travel

Minimal travel required; occasional local trips for logistics, materials movement, or supporting field teams.

Preferred Education and Experience
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  2. Prior experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management strongly preferred.
  3. Experience handling AV equipment, electronics, or technical materials is a plus.
  4. Forklift or lift-assist equipment experience helpful (but can be trained.)
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  1. Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs with proper technique
  2. Valid driver's license
  3. OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification preferred
