Principal System Management Analyst

We aren't looking for just the typical System Management Analyst. We are seeking an innovative technology Evangelist to help transform Medicare & Retirements Insurance Solutions IT organization! We are searching for a Principal System Management Analyst to help mature our Monitoring and Alerting of various applications in Insurance Solution. You will work to drive commonality and simplicity across the various monitoring practices and align our standards within our environment. You will be part of the DevOps team, responsible for environment builds, CI/CD and support of a variety of products. Come join our diverse team of engineers working together on our new platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and implementing monitoring support of all internally managed and third-party / cloud managed IT infrastructure used to support all business processes across the enterprise
  • Engineer solutions to ensure all critical systems are monitored with the goal of reducing downtime and performance degradation.
  • Lead the exploration of Monitoring and Alerting tools and define standards across the organization
  • Standardize Monitoring and Alerting Practices across applications
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Lead feedback loop discussions with applications team and business members
  • Influence business to implements Operational priority items that are discovered
  • Create and track operational metrics to ensure operational SLAs are met and identify areas for improvement
  • Analyze and document current state and health of applications infrastructure

Job Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience supporting distributed web applications
  • 4+ years of technical applications support preferably in a hosted services environment
  • 2+ years of experience with UNIX based operating systems
  • Strong expertise in Splunk and Dynatrace
  • Experience with F5 Networks BIG-IP LTM and GTM configurations
  • Experience in Java, Python, Unix scripting
  • Strong understanding of using RESTful APIs and asynchronous JS.
