Role: ServiceNow Developer Location: Austin, TX (Onsite) A ServiceNow Developer is a professional responsible for developing (, GildeScript) and implementing applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform. They also integrate the platform with other systems through APIs, ensuring seamless data transfer and service automation. They customize the platforms user experience to match business requirements and optimize the users experience. ServiceNow is a cloud-based software platform that provides enterprise IT service management (ITSM) solutions to organizations. It enables companies to automate and streamline their IT services, improve their operation efficiency, and enhance their service delivery. Typical duties and responsibilities Developing, maintaining, and customizing ServiceNow applications, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions. Ensuring seamless integration of ServiceNow applications with external systems and aligning them with business objectives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, improve processes, and provide technical support. Analyzing system performance issues and providing corrective actions while identifying root causes. Conducting code reviews to ensure theyre up to par with the best industry practices and quality standards. Implementing security policies using ACLs (Access Control Lists), roles, groups, and authentication mechanism. Managing user access to applications and data. Deploying upgrades, testing and migrating existing customizations to new versions, and ensuring the platform stays up to date with the latest ServiceNow releases. Required skills and experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant field. 3 years of experience in ServiceNow development or similar engineering roles. Proficiency in ServiceNow platform development, including scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript) and ServiceNow APIs. Strong experience with ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM). Familiarity with ServiceNow development tools such as Flow Designer, Studio IDE, and Update Sets. Understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data model, and best practices. Experience with Service Portal design and development. Experience in developing custom applications and integrations with third-party applications. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required) Experience with ServiceNows IntegrationHub and other integration technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON). Having 5 years of experience in ServiceNow development or similar engineering roles would be an asset. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
