Staff Accountant Opportunity

The Staff Pad has partnered with a healthcare organization in Russellville, Alabama seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in healthcare finance, gain exposure to hospital operations, and work closely with leadership on impactful financial initiatives.

Exposure to hospital and multi-entity financial operations

Direct collaboration with leadership, including the CFO

Opportunity to grow within a stable, mission-driven environment

Hands-on involvement in financial reporting, audits, and strategic initiatives

Prepare and post monthly journal entries and maintain the General Ledger

Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end close

Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews

Compile and analyze financial and statistical data

Support financial operations across clinics and home health entities

Partner with internal teams to support business and finance initiatives

Assist with audits, cost reports, and compliance processes

Work closely with leadership on special projects and financial analysis

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)

2–3 years of accounting experience

Strong understanding of: General Ledger accounting Financial reporting Reconciliations and month-end processes

High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage confidential financial data with discretion

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments

Fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting

Office-based role with regular collaboration across departments
