Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Dubuque Function: Product Engineering (CA) Title: Structural Analysis Engineer - 119706 Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position
Your Responsibilities
As a Structural Analyst for JD Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, this role will be responsible for structural analyses of Construction products. This includes performing virtual fatigue life verification using tools such as Finite Element Analysis leveraging the Abstract Modeling process. In addition, you will:
- Analyze steel structures using Abaqus/Optistruct/Ansys to perform modal, linear, non-linear static, dynamic analysis to support the development and refinement of designs from components to assembly level
- Collaboration with test and design as required to develop efficient analysis plans
- Conduct correlation studies of analysis to physical test results
- Support of product program timelines by efficient execution of analysis projects
- Support development projects for improving analytical toolsets

What Skills You Need
- Experience with FEA (Abaqus/Ansys/OptiStruct) software.
- Strong computational and mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or academic projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
What Makes You Stand Out
- 1 or more years experience academically and/or professionally using FEA software
- 1 or more years experience with fatigue analysis software such as nCode
- 1 or more years design experience using CAD software (Creo)
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master's degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or MBA)
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited engineering program
