Student Worker - Outside Events

Purpose/Objective of the Role:
The Chappelear theatre outside event worker assists with the setup, programming, and strike of all outside events over the summer. This position will work with lighting, sound, scenery, props and AV equipment to assist in the smooth operation of the theatre during any outside events. This position is paid at 15 dollars an hour.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the set-up of lighting, sound and AV equipment, as directed by the Technical Director
- Operate the sound mixer, lighting console, or rigging during events
- Maintain a clean and organized shop, following safety protocols set by the Technical Director
Qualifications:
- Interest in learning how to use power tools, lighting and sound equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
- Ability to work in teams and independently as needed
