QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold current CDL
- Responsible
- Must have a telephone in their home
- Must have physical examine every two years to keep license current.
- State police criminal history check
- Submit fingerprints history to the central office
- Good moral character
- Does not use intoxicating liquor during school hours
- Does not use intoxicating liquor to excess at any time
- Not addicted to any narcotic drugs
- Sufficient physical ability to drive a school buses.
- Possession and full use of hands, both arms, both feet, both eyes and both ears.
- Freedom from any communicable disease.
- Freedom from any mental, nervous, organic, or functional disease, which might impair the person's ability too properly operate a school bus.
- Visual acuity, with or without glasses, of at least 20/40 in each eye and a field of vision with 150-degree minimum and with depth perception of at least 80%.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pre-trip check bus before route/trip.
- Radio into central office each am.
- Must attend annual safety meeting.
- Hold a BI-annual evacuation drill.
- Responsible for discipline on their bus.
- Fuel buses/check oil and all additives and check tires.
- To cooperate fully with the central office in completing all special reports, updated bus maps, and attending meetings called by the superintendent.
- Keep the bus clean inside and out.
- Contact mechanic when you have bus problems and every 3000-mile oil change.
- Attend pre-school meeting at the beginning of the school year.
- Operate the bus in a safe manner at all times.
- Operate the bus within all Federal, State and Local laws at all times.
