Summer Fun Club Program Assistant

Assist the Summer Fun Club Management in the oversight and implementation of the day-to-day operations of the Summer Fun Club Program. Duties would include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Provide a supportive environment for students and other staff within the program.
  • Demonstrate patience, guidance and foster positive relationships with students as well as staff and families.
  • Maintain a safe environment at all times.
  • Supervise students at all times.
  • Help the management coordinate and deliver enriching and engaging activities to the children including but not limited to:
    • Supervision and guidance on weekly field trips (including student grouping for trips)
    • Planning, organizing and implementing outdoor/indoor games, crafts, etc.
  • Assist in implementation of program policies.
  • Communicate regularly with management about any issues or needs.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education and/or Experience: High-School Diploma or GED
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret text. Ability to effectively communicate and establish/maintain effective relationships with students and staff.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to be self-reflective.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, and community. Ability to create a positive working environment. Ability to be self-directed and organize time, space, and materials. Ability to speak clearly and concisely in written or oral communication.
