You will serve as a recognized expert consultant and project leader in state-of-the-art equipment/systems development, acquisition, and/or application of theories, principles, practical concepts, processes, and methods related to assigned areas.

You will exercise program and technical management over current programs involving systems development, production, test, evaluation, maintenance, and logistic contractual effort at contractors' sites.

You will evaluate the efforts of the contractor (using inputs/actions from DCMA and SPS personnel) in achieving contract and program milestones with respect to technical, cost, and schedule requirements.

You will direct the implementation of the entire body of technical directives relating to contractor and Navy organizations for which SSP and PMOSSP Shipboard Systems maintain control.

You will schedule, plan, coordinate and direct work performed by civilian technical managers and their direct reports (engineering, logisticians, and specialists) and military employees (if applicable) within the department.

You will establish goals and objectives consistent with those of PMOSSP Shipboard Systems and SSP Headquarters and assure the quality and efficiency of department efforts and contributions.
