Help
- Recruit, test, assist, train, and supervise other seasonal aquatics personnel, ensure that TAFB and safety rules, regulations, and policies are followed; plan, organize, market, and implement pool programs to meet the needs of the community; evaluate staff and the effectiveness of the pool programs; and ensure efficient management and professional practices at the aquatic facility.
- Promote, develop, supervise and register the instructional swimming programs.
- Direct the work of guards and instructors in carrying out safety requirements, lesson instruction and the cleaning of the swimming area and dressing room areas.
- Assist in ordering supplies, make daily cash reports, performs an audit of daily attendance, keep records of all transactions for auditing purposes and assist with maintaining budget by controlling staff time and other operating costs.
- Rescue swimmers, administer first aid, and serve as a lifeguard/instructor. Facilitate and conduct weekly work outs/in-service training.
- Responsible for providing information pertaining to water quality, temperature, and other related items to the Community Services Office and the public.
- Plan, organize, and implement aquatics activities including swimming lessons, open swimming and aerobics. Schedules pool personnel, submits payroll and counsel staff when appropriate.
