Job Summary:
TheSwim Instructor is responsible for instructing participants of all ages andskill levels to improve their swimming ability and water skills in aconstructive, safe and enjoyable environment. Examples of duties includeorganizing lesson plans, teaching in-water swimming skills, maintaining writtenprogression reports and producing final report cards to discuss with parents ofparticipants as required.
Qualifications/Education Requirements:
1. WaterSafety Instructor Certification preferred or ability to obtain within sixmonths of hire. (Starfish preferred but will accept YMCA and Ellis andAssociates).
2. Lifeguardtraining preferred.
3. Musthave thorough knowledge of teaching proper swim skills/strokes
4. Abilityto communicate effectively with public and co-workers.
5. Knowledgeand enforcement of pool rules and facility rules is a must.
6. CPR/FirstAid required
7. Abilityto work as a team member.
