System Director Patient Access

Supports the mission of DuBois Regional Medical Center and complies with the hospital's code of conduct. Assists director in managing and coordinating all aspects of scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling related to patient accounts.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in management, healthcare administration, finance or a related field
- 3 years experience in patient business services or registration or
- Five + years patient business services or registration with prior supervisory
- Experience required. Required skills: knowledge of insurance pre-certification/pre-authorization, managed care, Medicare/Medicaid regulations (ABN, MSP,) and commercial insurance plans.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA HITECH privacy and security.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and prior working experience in medical practice management software systems
- Preferred skills: Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) a plus.
