Supports the mission of DuBois Regional Medical Center and complies with the hospital's code of conduct. Assists director in managing and coordinating all aspects of scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling related to patient accounts.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in management, healthcare administration, finance or a related field
• 3 years experience in patient business services or registration or
• Five + years patient business services or registration with prior supervisory
• Experience required. Required skills: knowledge of insurance pre-certification/pre-authorization, managed care, Medicare/Medicaid regulations (ABN, MSP,) and commercial insurance plans.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA HITECH privacy and security.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and prior working experience in medical practice management software systems
• Preferred skills: Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) a plus.
