14598 - Tax Analyst (hybrid) - Houston, TX

Start Date : ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration :12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Hybrid . Training period will be ONSITE. Monday & Friday - Work from Home. Tuesday - Thursday - In the Office.

Required:

  • Availability to work onsite on training period at the Client's site in Houston, TX (required);
  • Experience with federal, state, and local income tax return preparation and review (2+ years);
  • Experience with tax compliance and tax research;
  • Experience with financial analysis and budget preparation;
  • Experience with regulatory reporting;
  • Experience with GAAP Knowledge and application;
  • Experience with data analysis and Excel;
  • Experience with technology and innovation applications in tax and finance.
  • Experience with income tax controversy analysis and tax calculations;
  • Experience with Openness
  • Experience with Adaptability
  • Experience with Presenting Information
  • Experience with Bias for Action
  • Experience with Tax Preparation
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred:

  • Tax Compliance experience
  • Tax Research experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance;

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns, schedules, extensions, and payment estimates in line with the company's tax filing calendar;
  • Conduct financial and economic analyses; develop and prepare the organization's financial plans and budgets;
  • Research inquiries from government agencies regarding filings, compliance, and other claims;
  • Prepare tax calculations to support tax controversy analyses;
  • Conduct tax assumptions in project models;
  • Interpret financial reports and tax returns to support business decisions;
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
