$26/hour | Short-Term Coverage

Location: Roanoke, VA
Route: Roanoke, VA ? Tennessee ? Roanoke, VA
Schedule: Approximately 4:30 PM start each evening
Pay: $26/hour
Duration: Temporary (May 26-May 29)

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Temporary CDL Class A Driver to provide vacation coverage for a short-term assignment from May 26 through May 29. This position involves evening driving of an 18-wheeler, transporting a full load to a site in Tennessee, then returning with an empty trailer back to our job site in Roanoke, VA.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced CDL driver looking for a well-paying, short-term assignment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A 18-wheeler
• Transport a full load to a designated site in Tennessee
• Return an empty trailer to Roanoke, VA
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies
• MUST have current DOT Medical Card
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork as required

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Clean or acceptable MVR
• Ability to safely operate an 18-wheeler
• Dependable and punctual for evening start times
• Prior CDL driving experience required
• Available all four dates: May 26-29

Compensation

• $26 per hour
• Short-term, clearly defined assignment
