Thrift Store Dock, Furniture, Pick-up Driver

AuthoraCare Collective is currently seeking a Thrift Store Driver and Donations Pick-Up for our Burlington Thrift Store. This position is Full-time Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am - 5:00pm.

This position assists with all manners of working on the dock loading and unloading, receiving donations, sorting donations, and moving merchandise at the store. Must be responsible for driving store truck to pick up donated merchandise. This individual must be capable of physical activity by lifting heavy items.

Most importantly, this individual must represent a positive attitude as a public-facing role that represents the organization's mission and provide excellent customer service to donors, shoppers, and co-workers. This individual will also be responsible for cleaning and pricing items that is designated for the furniture department. This individual must be dependable and willing to assist in any way possible with related tasks. This position will take directions from the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to drive thrift Store truck.
• Assist with picking up and unloading truck merchandise.
• Assist with picking up and unloading truck merchandise.
• Work the dock with a courteous and friendly manner.
• Assist with unloading merchandise from donors.
• Ability to pre-sort carts on dock area.
• Clean and repair furniture and other merchandise.
• Move furniture in and out of store.
• Assist customers with questions, carry merchandise, etc.
• Must be willing to be flexible to work in any department needed.
• Clean the retail area as needed.
• Help with furniture display in the furniture department.
• Mobility to lift 60 lbs or more.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Other: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency. Must have own transportation.
