Description
Position: Tool Room Attendant
Location: Chesterfield Mo
This is a full-time on-site role for a Materials Manager/Tool Room Attendant at Natoli Engineering Company, Inc. The Tool Room Attendant will be responsible for creating purchase orders to suppliers, receiving and issuing materials to jobs, and managing inventory. Effective communication with vendors and internal stakeholders is essential in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for purchasing raw materials to support manufacturing operations
- Maintain raw material and consumables (drills, taps, cutters, etc.) inventory levels in the ERP system
- Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors as needed
- Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with available SOP's
- Responsible for initial supplier identification and for collection of business-related information related to the supplier
- Provide cost and lead time information provided by vendors to appropriate individuals at meetings and as needed
- Issue raw materials to jobs, ensure that cost of materials is applied, and material certifications are included with jobs
- Support Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Management as necessary to manage supply-chain

Qualifications and requirements

- Analytical Skills for analyzing purchasing needs

- Knowledge of supply chain management

- Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience
3+ years' experience in a tool crib environment or a similar inventory or purchasing position
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally list 50 lbs., infrequently lift 70 lbs
