Job Title
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of the truck and situational awareness, always.
- All duties of the position, including the transporting of materials to plants and job sites in a safe manner via chip truck.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Safely load material.
- Tarp load to protect products being hauled.
- Clean and wash vehicle. Includes the spraying down of trailers when needed in designated area.
- Practice good housekeeping on equipment and in the plant.
- Recognize mechanical issues immediately as they develop with engine, hydraulic, and electrical systems and take action to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage.
Job Experience: Required skills, experience, and/or education:
- Outstanding safety and attendance record
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Negative DOT drug screen
- Class A CDL
- 3 years' minimum experience
- Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills
- No more than two moving violations within the last 24 months
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to drive a standard manual transmission
- Availability for the night shift
