Warehouse Associate
A growing company in the electrical control industry, is in need of a Warehouse Associate. This person must have a willingness to perform a wide variety of job tasks including picking & packing customer orders, maintain inventory systems, perform electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Processing Shipments:
- Unloading incoming deliveries and verifying shipping documents
- Checking for damage or discrepancies in shipments
- Entering and recording inventory into the warehouse management system
- Inventory Management:
- Storing and organizing goods in designated areas
- Conducting inventory checks and cycle counts
- Maintaining accurate records of stock levels
- Identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damages
- Order Fulfillment:
- Picking and packing orders according to customer specifications
- Preparing shipments for dispatch, including labeling and packaging
- Loading goods onto trucks or pallets
- Warehouse Operations:
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Following safety protocols and procedures
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals
- Participating in team meetings to discuss process improvements and address challenges
- Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Participate in safety training programs and actively contribute to a culture of workplace safety
Required Skill, Experience, and Qualifications Must-have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally heavier items with assistance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math skills for inventory and order accuracy
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain role
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse settings
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and problem-solving
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional Earnings: Overtime opportunities and performance-based bonuses for meeting or exceeding key metrics.
