Description

Main duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shipping & Receiving: Unload incoming shipments, check for damages, verify against packing slips, and store items in designated areas. Deliver packages to the proper person / department throughout building.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pull orders, pack goods, label, and prepare them for delivery to departments.
  • Delivery/ Pickup: As needed, responsible for delivering mail, paychecks, office supplies to our other locations. Pick up as necessary from outside vendors. All Tri-State. Use company vehicles.
  • Inventory Control: Perform inventory counts, reconcile inventory, and update stock records using warehouse management systems.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks. Maintain safe and orderly work environment.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, comply with safety regulations, and report damaged or missing inventory.
  • Shredding: Assist with the agency shredding.
  • Driver: July / August - Summer Camp ½ days.
  • Fill in: Cover Mailroom responsibilities when mailroom staff are absent (vacation)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs.), stand for long periods, walking, bending and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with inventory software, scanners, Microsoft Word, Excel and forklift operation (certification required).
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to organize stock efficiently.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Good communication skills for working with team members, consumers and supervisors in a fast-paced environment.

BACKGROUND / FORMAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High school or equivalent

LEARNING TIME: 3 months

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast-paced environment. Exposure to heat, warehouse conditions, and outside elements when loading or unloading trucks. Lifts material up to 50 pounds.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Driver's License required, CDL / 19A compliance (may be obtained during probationary period). Forklift certified. Computer knowledge - Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge required. Will train on inventory system.
