Job Summary

This position involves the physical handling and management of storage boxes, bins, and totes, which can weigh between 24 lbs and over 100 lbs. The role requires frequent kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending forward throughout the shift. Employees will manually move boxes and use hand carts to assist with transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Process orders and manage the movement of boxes containing files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
  • Lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks safely on uneven and concrete surfaces.
  • Read and write in English to process incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Use a proprietary computer system to track orders and locate boxes.
  • Operate a handheld scanner.
  • Climb and balance on ladders when necessary.
  • Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
  • Manually load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks using material handling aids.

Qualifications

  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance.
  • Proficiency in using hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
