Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Wiring Harness Technician in Stratford, Connecticut for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports fabrication, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft and laboratory test system wiring in a hands-on integration environment. The position requires strong aircraft wiring experience, the ability to work from engineering documentation with limited guidance, and solid mechanical fabrication skills.

Required Skills

  • Strong electronic and electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Previous experience with electronic and electrical fabrication
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical and general fabrication skills
  • Previous experience fabricating and terminating military wiring harnesses and connectors
  • Experience constructing wiring harnesses from electrical schematics
  • Experience routing wiring harnesses in large electronics racks
  • Experience terminating wiring to rear disconnect panels
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and written or verbal instructions with limited guidance
  • Ability to fabricate wire harnesses, test boxes, and related laboratory test equipment

What You'll Do

  • Fabricate aircraft wiring harnesses from electrical schematics
  • Route wiring harnesses through large electronics racks
  • Terminate wiring to rear disconnect panels
  • Mount rack hardware and support mechanical installation tasks
  • Construct, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft-related electrical and electronic systems
  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and technical instructions to complete fabrication and installation tasks
  • Fabricate test boxes and associated laboratory test equipment
  • Support system integration laboratory test facilities through wiring and equipment build activities
  • Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed
